What is the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIOS) Board?  

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), originally the National Open School (name changed in 2002), is the Indian government's educational Board. It was founded in 1989 by India's Ministry of Human Resource Development to give education to all parts of society to increase literacy and move toward multiple learning styles. 

Why is choosing a NIOS Board beneficial for anyone?

Choosing NIOS Boards is beneficial for anyone because it is not rigid. Anyone willing to pursue education can join it. This Board conducts an exam twice in one year, so one can opt for the option to sit an exam with this flexibility.
